Compliance With Updated Governmental Norms
With the increasing population and rising competition among the players, the deployment of the micro-mobility fleet is not easy anymore. There are certain regulations to follow that differ either city wise or even state-wise across the globe. To overcome these issues, companies need to track vehicle metrics, such as speed, time taken to reach the destination, which route is being followed, where the vehicle is parked, and so on. Until a few years ago, riding behavior was never thought to be controlled or imbibed through technology, but in person. However, innovation and advancement have changed that. Now, one can help a rider improve its riding behavior remotely or wirelessly.
For example, Aron rides a scooter to his workplace. As a responsible citizen, he is expected to drive consciously, within the speed limits and within the designated lane. This feature is also helpful for the new riders who tend to be a bit unstable on the roads for the first few times.
Designing a Safe Micro-mobility Service
It becomes a responsibility of the micro-mobility service providing companies to keep their riders and drivers safe. With the correct IoT devices installed in the vehicle, this becomes quite easy for the companies to keep a track of whereabout and activities of the vehicles.
This has given rise to vehicle intelligence systems for the improved safety of the rider, driver, and passengers using the micro-mobility commute system. Other factors giving weightage to vehicle intelligence are stricter norms imposed by the government, rising traffic on roads, and surging cases of road accidents day by day. Prevention of Theft: Sensors can track the unusualness in the ride, or when the theft is detected, it can disable the movement of wheels to prevent it from being driven.

This data is directly shared with the organization and traffic authorities, along with the rider of the vehicle. This helps in keeping a cordial and smooth relationship between the operators and city officials and helps in locating the place where the vandalism took place.
Power Tracking: This feature automatically activates the kill-switch of a scooter, when it detects the loss of power supply in one or more components, preventing the parts of the scooter to be stolen.
Scaling a Scooter or Bike-sharing Service
Every project is built from a perspective to scale further in the coming times. Nevertheless, it is one of the most difficult tasks as well. Some of the leading names in the industry are working on developing a micro-mobility servicing infrastructure platform. These platforms are being designed to provide a network of charging stations, docks, and service stations for electric bikes and scooters.
